A day in the life of C.T.M Videos of Hullquestion mark

A fresh Saturday morning early November 2006 and our video crew is up nice and early, destination Halifax.

We have already sorted out our route using Google earth aerial shots and also programmed in our Satellite navigation system to ensure that never get lost, fingers crossed. Some people say we are too organised but I don’t think there’s such as thing.

09:30 --Our planned schedule is to head straight for Holdsworth House Hotel in Halifax were the reception is to be held later in the day. The reason for this is firstly to check out which function room has been allocated to the happy couple and to discuss arrangements with the hotel manager and staff.

Secondly it allows us to time the route from the Hotel to Mirfield where the church is located. We then know the exact return route to the Hotel hopefully without any disruptions regarding traffic hotspots that we may have noticed earlier.

11:00 - We finally arrive at the hotel on time and check out the function room, discussing angles and best possible shooting positions and also the route the bridal car will arrive etc.

After a swift coffee courtesy of the hotel manager we set off to St Pauls church in Mirfield which takes us roughly about one hour to arrive.

On route we had already phoned the vicar to give her our estimated time of arrival and we are greeted with a very warm and kind welcome, one of our best meetings to date.

This put everyone at ease and we discussed where she wanted us to shoot from and also gave us the “Do’s & Don’t” sermon that now seems standard in churches but understandable as the service cannot be disturbed by noisy tripods clattering around.

12:35 - Everything is now set up, camera one is set up inside the church and camera two is eagerly awaiting the bridal car to arrive. The best man is looking nervous when the bride finally arrives fifteen minutes later than planned but all is well and the church ceremony goes without a hitch.

14:45 - After we have filmed the photo shoot outside the church it’s a race to get to the hotel before the bride and groom, any delays and we are in trouble.

We actually make good time and get to the hotel a good twenty minutes before anyone else arrives which gave us plenty of time to set up the two cameras ready for the long reception ahead of us.

18:00 - The speeches have now passed and we are heading for the home straight with just the evening celebration to film and then our trip back to Hull.

22:30 - We end the night with a big thank you from the happy couple who sent us an excellent recommendation shortly after their honeymoon when they received the finished DVD’s.

We were incredibly impressed with CTM from start to finish. They were extremely organised in advance and left nothing to chance. We had a 3-man team on the day who really did their utmost to blend into the proceedings, at no point did we feel hunted! They are an extremely friendly team, who, I imagine can get on with anyone and put anyone at ease. The finished product far exceeded our expectations, and bears very little resemblance to our preconceptions of a wedding video (ie. lots of cheese). The special moments section (it really is good Glenn!) and photo montage add a lot to the end product. We had hesitations about filming the evening in case things had descended into drunken chaos but this has been well edited to capture the spirit of proceedings! The team in fact stayed far later than we had actually paid for because they are such nice people. In fact, the whole film has been extremely well edited so the bits I really didn't want preserving for posterity, aren't t here (ie. gracelessly ordering guests for photos while ushers got bevvied up inside) and yet everything else, everything we didn't see or notice at the time is there. I would not hesitate to recommend CTM.

distinct edge over competitors who use the larger more robust equipment that stands out in a crowd

We pride ourselves in being able to be discreet, blending in with the Guests and Surroundings to help make the happy couple feel more relaxed not having to worry about were we are filming from.

Our recommendations speak for themselves as numerous happy couples clearly state that they hardly noticed we were actually there on their big day.

A credit to our ability to be able to achieve this as it is what we aim for every time we venture out.

We strive to give that relaxed, personal touch to the big occasions
